Item Description
Lot of three. Goudy Gum. 2.5x3x.5" deep box originally contained cards from the series issued in the late 1940s. Front has Indian Chief portrait. These box backs offered different premium items and this is for a series of 12 different shelf model airplanes available 2/per 5 box tops and 15¢. Background also includes small Indian symbols which are repeated on side panels. Box shows wear, 2 of 4 small inner flaps missing, outer flaps intact. VG. Scarce. Included are a pair of cards although these are both 1930s issues with green text backs. Both are variety noting "Series of Ninety-Six Cards." Cards are 39 Conquering Bear and 49 Gen. Ben McCulloch. Light aging to reverses, very minor trace of corner tip wear. 39 is Exc., 49 has a very faint crease on bottom margin barely visible. VG/Exc.
