Lot of 44 from 2 different series but all are 1940s and 1-1/8x2-1/8" thick cardboard. 37 cards have imprint of "Owl Drug Co." on reverse. These are not to be confused with the "Engrav-O-Tints" cards which feature many of the same stars but different photo images appear from set to set. These "Owl" cards include: Tyrone Power, Sonja Henie, Cesar Romera, Rita Hayworth, Maureen O'Sullivan, Mickey Rooney, Betty Grable, Clark Gable, James Stewart, Lana Turner, Heddy Lamar, etc. All 37 are different. Cards are sometimes found with weight ink stamp on reverse, however all of these are without such an imprint. Typical aging but all are clean with sharp corners and N. Mint. The remaining 7 cards are from a numbered series and feature different sepia-toned photos. Backs have different store imprints including "Kresge." Backs have ink stamp info. Numbers are - 16 (2), 28, 70, 73, 81 and 190. Moderate scattered aging/wear. No. 28 has faint crease. VG/Exc.
