Item Description
10x19.5x1.5" deep box contains all instructions, playing pieces, cards, play money and 19x19" folding board. Box lid has illustration of Kennedys as they might appear at Mt. Rushmore. Attached to left side of box lid is cardboard tag reading "About The Game And Its Creators/The Kennedys, The Game Of Intra-Family Power Struggle, Is The Product Of The Fertile Imaginations Of Two Recent Harvard Graduates, Alfred C. Harrison, Jr. and Jack Winter." Both are pictured w/short bios, each having a connection to the "Harvard Lampoon" magazine. Text on tag concludes "Highly Successful Exercise In Satire, The Kennedys Is Also In An Ingeniously Devised Game Of Strategy Which Is Certain To Delight Its Players." Comes w/original category cards w/character names of Jack, Jackie, Caroline, John Jr., Bobby, Teddy. Also included is the "Turn Of Event Cards." Example of these cards includes "Jack Says That If Congress Won't Pass Medicare, He'll Finance It Himself, Gains Power Group Backing/Jack Elected President, Gains Position Of Importance/Jack Bequeaths His Brain To Science, Gains Popular Support." Cards are both humorous and ironic. © 1962 by Harrison and Winter. Game is made by Transco Adult Games Inc., a division of Transogram Co. Inc. Appears to be unused w/cardboard band still stapled to lid, this is usually missing. Small traces of lid edge wear but overall Exc. Contents are unused and Mint.
