2-1/8" tall ornately embossed brass decoder badge, his second from 1942 of an annual series through 1949. The only year to picture him and with his glossy photo inset at top center. This is an original photo, not a replacement. Below the photo are a pair of American flags and the center dial area has airplane motor and propeller design. Most examples have missing or replaced photo as kids were instructed to remove the Captain's photo and replacement with one of themselves. Lower half of reverse is missing dots and fine lines of glossy luster but front remains N. Mint with super-clean and glossy photo.
