Item Description
4.75” wide by 11.5” long by 8” tall glazed ceramic with high relief design on the front nicely painted with color outlining and details. Depicts adult Pegasus resting on tree branch. Underside has 1940 Disney copyright, Vernon Kilns markings including “127.” From “The Pastoral Symphony” segment of “Fantasia,” the 1940 animated musical feature. Top inner rim has mere trace of near invisible water stain. Left blank side panel has 2 tiny brown dots 1” from bottom edge as made. Both defects are most trivial. Largest and most impressive item from the Vernon Kilns Fantasia series. Gorgeous, huge ceramic, super clean and glossy. Rare and N. Mint. From the Hake Collection. Comes with Hake’s COA.
