Item Description
Rarely seen. Muted bronze luster over white metal casting complete with green felt under the base. Impressive large size. 4" deep by 12" across by 11.5" tall. Titled on base front "Our Uncle Sam." Just above on wavy water is sailboat "Roosevelt." To right is induction motor working clock with text on reverse "Clock Movement By Lanshire." To left is figural Uncle Sam with hands holding large plaque that has high relief profile bust of FDR. Above clock is eagle and starburst with open areas between rays so that light from a small bulb shines through. Bulb works by means of switch on reverse. Very small loss of luster on Sam's nose, beard, knuckles but vast majority intact. Overall extremely Fine with all functions operational. First we've seen of a rare design.
