Item Description
2-1/8" with draped flag and large gold letter "P" predominating. On the left side is a graveyard accented by American flag and golden sunburst on the horizon with text below "Our Dead Lie Buried In The Sands Of The Luzon. No Foreign Flag Shall There Salute The Dawn." On the right is a street lined with large buildings and from the doorway of one marches a parade of happy workers carrying dinner pails. The text to the left reads "The People Shall Not Vote Themselves Into The Poor House Twice In Eight Years." The "Eight Years" is a reference to the election of Cleveland in 1892. Bottom edge carries text "Copyrighted 1900" and reverse has elaborate backpaper reading in part "The Hearnly Medallion Designed By E.C. Deacon, Indianapolis, Ind. From Suggestion Of Patriotism/Prosperity By Hon. Chas. S. Hernly, Chairman Indiana Repubican State Committee." An outstanding example with perfect centering, high gloss, gorgeous color.
