Auction #183 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1290 in auction 183
Item Description
1.25" sepia without dot pattern combining real photos with artwork of eagle at top and ribbon and shield design below reading "Parker Davis 1904." There is a .5" vertical line on Davis' face where the celluloid has lost its gloss but this only shows up in reflected light and overall the entire surface displays with exceptional high gloss under normal viewing. Totally clean and with perfect centering. No manufacturer indicated and reverse is covered tin with horizontal pin. Extremely difficult to find in this clean and glossy condition as these seem to be very susceptible to spotting along with splitting of the celluloid on the reverse. See TR mate #170.
