Auction #183 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1290 in auction 183
Item Description
Beautiful 1.25" scarce design by Quimby, although without backpaper. A red cord looped over the reverse pin suspends a 1.25" flat white metal figural padlock with a trace of original silver luster. Printed on the lock, although requiring close inspection to read, is the inscription "The Lock To The White House - Taft Holds The Key 1908." The button surface has numerous but light and tiny all-over hairlines but all show very little even in reflected light. With normal viewing piece has perfect centering, high gloss and great color and design. Only example we've seen with this attachment.
