Item Description
1.75" dia. watch. c. 1927. Bezel around crystal has images of Statue of Liberty/Eiffel Tower/two planes (top and bottom) accented with leaf pattern. Back of watch has image of plane with text "New York To Paris" across the wing. Statue of Liberty is seen in the bkg. Eiffel Tower in foreground. Trace of luster wear, but 90% remains. Case VF. Dial with image of plane has text below "New York To Paris Airplane Model." Dial is Exc. Watch works. Attached to other end of leather strap is 1-5/8" tall white metal fob. "New York To Paris" appears across wing. Plane is flanked by Eiffel Tower/Statue of Liberty. Bottom center has inset glass-covered compass. Compass works. Light wear to fob. VF. A superb, impressive timepiece further enhanced by the great fob. Very rare.
