Item Description
Lot of 5. Sizes range from 6x9" to 7x10". First two are from "Childs" with one showing Childs Restuarant at "Railroads" building at the Fair. Other has a World's Fair preview theme and shows T&P with a 2" tall foil sticker in upper left corner reading "Tune In John Gambling 'Musical Gym Clock' WOR/Sponsored By Childs." Diagonal crease/handling wear. Overall Fine. Third is "Gimbels/Fountain Menu" with T&P in bkg. with "15 Minutes From The World's Fair" in the foreground. Ink notation at top reads "September 27, 1939." Center crease. Fine. Next is "Schrafft's" with graphics of New York skyline and mention of the Fair on the back reading "If You Wish To Remember Friends Out Of Town With A Souvenir Of The Fair, We Suggest A Souvenir Box Of Candy Exclusive With The Schrafft's Stores." Holed at top (likely as made). Fine. Last is well-made ocean liner menu with embossed silver luster Trylon and Perisphere on the front. Text below reads "Plan To See The New York World's Fair In 1939." Inside cover includes text "United States Lines/S.S. Manhattan/From Hamburg To New York." Center pages list "Musical Program" and are print-dated "Monday April 24th, 1939." Blue string with tassel binding. Glue residue on blank back due to scrapbook mounting, o/w Exc.
