Item Description
4x16x4" tall box. Graphics of toy with illustrated instructions pictured on box top. c. 1940s. Two .5" punctures on top. Scattered wear/color rubs. Box remains structurally sound. Box VG. 16" long painted wood boat. Two painted wood/metal airplanes with black rubber noses. Planes sit in designated "Plane Berth" areas. Slot on deck has spring-loaded launcher with instructions for use. Rwb decal chipped along back of one plane's tail. A wood/metal gun turret appears at front and back. Turrets swivel. A 2.75" long dowel is included to represent the mast of the ship. The upper portion of the mast is broken off of the tiny dowel which held it into position. Ropes (strings) hold top of mast into place and hold flags. Mast easily repaired. Light surface dust. Light aging to launching area, but appears to function properly. Boat Fine. First we've seen.
