Item Description
1.75" of plump gentleman in vest and hat straddling a beer keg with frothy mug in one hand. c. 1910. Text reads "The Only Ebner Cafe, And Its A Boll'y Place To Go."  This text combines the names of the owners "Ebner" and "Boll." Reverse has backpaper from Reading Badge but this is pasted over with a blue/white paper seal also giving a Reading address but reading "From Schlechter's Mfg. Jewelers, Badges, Medals, Etc." Seal has a piece of clear tape showing little on the left-hand side and center had a tear neatly glued back into place. Paper has small tear on the edge beneath where the horizontal bar pin locks into position. The celluloid remains N. Mint and displays Mint. Rare, even here in York, PA as we've seen only two examples and know of a mirror designed from the same firm. Also see York paperweights lot #481.
