Item Description
15.25x21.5" full-page Sunday comic adaptation of 1939 film with photo images at left showing stars of the film and their comic counterparts. Bottom has ad for theater showing film. Left and right-hand side margins are tanned with age and slightly brittle. Fine. Smaller 11.25x15.25" full-page has same images and comic adaptation with differing East Coast theater locations (previous example was West Coast). Three punch holes at bottom with small tears around edges. Fine/VF. 9.5x14" clipping for Aug. 13, 1939 Sunday page has strip done in "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" style with nicely illustrated images by Feg Murray showing Bert Lahr, Jack Haley, Judy Garland and Ray Bolger in their roles in the film. Small chips/tears at margins with 1" tear at Cowardly Lion. Fine. 10-3/8x14" LIFE 8-page article with many photos on "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" featuring original Oz book illustrations by W.W. Denslow. Aged at margins with a few small tears. VF.
