Item Description
First is 1.25" of Confederate soldier with wooden leg shaking hands with Union soldier whose other hand does not appear. Reverse has Wm. F. Miller/W&H backpaper on which someone wrote in small numerals long ago "1.00." This piece is o/w Mint. The second item is a larger 1.75" and both of these soldiers are in blue Union Army uniforms although both have suffered the same amputations as on the previous button. Slightly faded red text "Storm Lake, Iowa June 11, 12, 13, 1901." Although barely showing, this button has about a half dozen very fine celluloid cracks mostly in the center area. Complete with W&H backpaper. Comes with Hake's COA. Pair -
