Item Description
1.25" charming color depiction of a jointed and seated teddy bear doll beneath the name of famous retailer "Jordan Marsh Co." Reverse backpaper by Ehrman of Boston. The bear shares many features similar to the 1903 earliest designs by Steiff. This is the earliest depiction of a teddy bear on a button and we've seen about 5 other examples. This one has small area of light tan stain at center left and a near microscopic shallow pinpoint nick on the bear's stomach. Fine overall with 95% displaying clean and glossy.
