Item Description
1.25" c. 1900 and among the very earliest buttons to portray a toy. Reverse has metal-covered back with vertical stickpin. We've seen an example in the past with the name of an Indiana firm. This has a different name so apparently both are the names of distributors rather than the manufacturer. This one reads "J.F. Schmelzer & Sons Arms Co./Kansas City, MO." Exc. condition and displays Mint. Comes with Hake's COA. See gorgeous color Sherwood Wagon button #467.
