Items 994-2570 in Auction 195
Item Description
1.25" c. 1903 with text that reads "Not Inc./The Square Realty Co./115 Dearborn St." Lena Park was the name of a proposed new manufacturing city likely inspired by Coney Island's large working class amusement park (see previous item). This land track near Chicago in northwestern Indiana was heavily promoted to the city's immigrants. Thousands of tiny lots were sold and for a time a glass factory operated but the promised large scale industrial development never happened. Reverse has union bug back stamp. Exc. and displays Mint. Comes with Hake's COA.
