7.5x9.5" Milton Caniff-designed card pictures Steve Canyon's face, wearing flight helmet, goggles packaged so it looks like he is wearing them. Rock Industries Inc. Field Entertainment c. 1950. 5" wide plastic goggles are "Designed By Space Engineers To Eliminate Glass Breakage Due To Take-Off And Landing Jolts - Provides A Shield Against Meteor Particles, Inter-Stellar Radiation And Harmful Space Rays." Packaging also notes "A Variation Of These Glasses Were Actually Used By United States Antarctic Expeditions As A Protection Against Sun Glare And Snow Blindness. These Goggles Can Also Be Used Effectively As Sun Glasses." Goggle stems have "Steve Canyon" name. Display has some wear with curl at bottom of Canyon's chin. Fine. Neat design. Mint as packaged.
