Auction #195-Part II
Items 994-2570 in Auction 195
Item Description
Pair of girls slippers measuring 2.5x7.75x4.25" tall padded vinyl. Each slipper has large image of Batgirl, taken from her first appearance on the cover of "Detective Comics" #359 as drawn by Carmine Infantino. Batman and Robin also appear alongside "WOW" word burst. Very little Batgirl merchandise was produced due to Batgirl appearing in the third season of the "Batman" 1966 TV show, when the show's popularity was in decline. More than likely sold in plain chipboard box. Slippers appear to be lightly used but still retain an Exc./N. Mint appearance. Very, very rare and only the third pair seen by our consignor. All examples he saw were of same size and same white vinyl. From the Craig Warren Collection.
