This superb high quality set was issued c. 1995 as a Disney catalogue exclusive. Only 1,000 sets were produced and it was an instant sell-out, calling for the production of a second series (see next item #1853). Issued at $250. Wood display case with hinged lid opens to reveal 3 different high quality pocket watches each individually housed in a wood box with satin ribbon lift. Lid/inside lid features same "Mickey Mouse Collection" logo with portrait image. This same design appears on the front of each pocket watch case. Each has an antique design and is done in different color luster, each with a different classic Mickey image on the dial. This includes Steamboat Willie with antiqued gold plate case, Mickey as Sorcerer's Apprentice with silverplate case, Maestro Mickey from the Band Concert with gold plate case. Each comes with matching chain fob. Includes certificate detailing this series with individual issue number "916." Lid has a 1.5" hairline in the wood at lower left corner but set is o/w Mint as issued. Generic slipcover is included. Exceptional set.
