Item Description
Lot of 3 complete issues, each 8.5x11.5". April 9, 1938 cover features classic scene of Snow White about to kiss Dopey's head. Issue also features a 2-page article titled "The Story Behind Snow White's $10,000,000 Surprise Party." Scattered cover wear, mostly along margins including a .25x.5" piece missing at lower left. Top margin of front cover has penciled name. Contents clean. Fine. Second issue is Oct. 19, 1940. Great cover art of Donald in an automobile customized in patriotic stylings. Tied to the hood is an actual American eagle in Uncle Sam attire with flags tied to his beak. Other accessories include scales of justice, Liberty Bell, torch plus stars and stripes paint job. Grille reads "DD Special" while license plate is "US 1776." Light cover aging, trace of wear along spine edge. Contents clean. Fine. Third issue is March 14, 1942. Cover features Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Dumbo and Timothy filling out an income tax form that includes Walt Disney listed as a dependant. Cover was done for corresponding income tax article. Back cover is loose. Front cover itself shows just light edge wear and still displays Fine. Nice lot.
