Item Description
c. 1931. 16.5" tall to tip of ears. Toy has built-in key and stitched to shirt is fabric ribbon which serves as his belt and reads "Oswald - Copyrighted Universal Picture Corp." Velveteen face while rest of fabric-covered body is cloth and felt. Leatherette shoes with strings. Inner body has cardboard covering around wind-up mechanism. Toy works and when wound, rocks back and forth as it slowly moves forward. Doll has light aging to face with some wear to felt-covered nose. Light staining to name ribbon due to orange felt on either side. Overall appearance remains very nice for this rare and somewhat fragile wind-up toy. Appearance remains VF/Exc.
Rare, especially in this condition.
