Item Description
Lot of three 3.5x5.5" with embossed borders by Valentine & Sons Ltd., England. Bw art has been hand-painted and cards have beautiful glossy finish. Back of cards state "This Is A Real Photograph." Two have been postally issued in England with 1938/1939 dates, other is filled out on back. Cards feature Mickey Mouse holding large key/ Mickey, Minnie, Mickey's nephews, Donald Duck, Clarabelle and Pluto having birthday party/Donald Duck in outfit reminiscent of Mickey's in Fantasia. Astronomer Donald points to stars which have small portraits of Mickey, Minnie, Mickey's nephews and Pluto. Light handling/dust soiling. Birthday party card has .25" tear to margin and 1" area of staining in bottom corner which is faint. Fine/VF overall. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch & Ted Hake.
