Roy Rogers personally owned and worn c. late 1940s cream-colored rodeo suit with elaborate light blue trim on both coat and pants. Both have "Nudie's Rodeo Tailors - North Hollywood California" labels sewn into them. These labels are the style with bare-breasted "Nudie" girl, which Dale later requested not be used in any of Roy's clothes from that point forward as she did not want Roy wearing any clothes with pictures of nude women. This well-tailored/high quality jacket (size 38-40) was a double-breasted suit that Nudie altered to single-breasted. The jacket has mother of pearl buttons on the cuffs and front. Fully lined. Matching pants (approximately 32-34" waist by 32" inseam) continue with matching embroidered trim along pockets, belt loops and down the seams. Coat and pants show lightest trace of wear from use but are Exc. overall. Lot also includes certificate explaining the provenance of this outfit. Certificate explains "From The Estate Of Mike Bright." Bright was a personal friend of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans and received many mementos from them. Certificate lists the above mentioned suit and is signed by Howard R. Cherry. Also comes with a certificate from "The Roy Rogers And Dale Evans Estate Sale" listing this suit and is signed by Roy Rogers Jr. Lot also includes a worn reading copy of "Inside Story" magazine that shows Roy wearing this suit as well as two photocopied pages showing him in this suit.
