Item Description
Lot of 6 pieces all issued by Quaker and c. 1943. For two different premium offers. First is 1-1/8" dia. wood button with plane's name and "Pilot's Mascot" text, reverse has metal loop and button was to be worn with use of a safety pin. This comes with 11x15" newspaper advertisement promoting this button and a matching bomber photo. No mention of Terry and the Pirates but accepted as a Terry premium. Button is Exc., ad has aging and margin wear including tape repairs to tears on reverse, VG. Second newspaper ad is 7x15" for similar pair of premiums although the picture is slightly different and rather than a mascot button pilot's wings are shown. Ad is VF. Comes with the 7.5x9.5" picture which has margin wear/aging, Fine as well as the original mailing envelope which is worn and VG. Final item is 3.5x5" mail-in contest sheet promoting the aforementioned premiums. Scattered creasing and aging. VG. Nice lot featuring this classic aircraft.
