Item Description
10.25x19x1.75" deep box holds 7.5" cast metal locomotive and 4 plastic cars typically 4.5" to 5.5" long. This set was produced from 1961 through 1963 in the USA. Box lid has some dust soiling, few light scrapes/scratches. Fine. Lid depicts Civil War battle scene with train crossing bridge in bkg. Set is complete with the exception of missing tracks and includes the following items all marked "Georgia Central R.R." These include beautifully detailed engine and coal car as well as hospital car, ammunition box car, prisoner transport box car and flatcar which was to carry 2 cannons that are present in their original bag and unassembled. Also included is 2 fly leaves with historical bkg. on both Union and Confederate railroad activities during the war. Three additional Tyco paper pieces are also here including instructions, service station list and small full color catalogue of other Tyco products. Paper pieces show light wear. VF. Engine and all cars in beautiful untouched condition. N. Mint. Old store stock. A beautifully designed and executed set with great details.
