Auction #183 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1290 in auction 183
Item Description
3x7.75" celluloid sheet with 2.75" large oval which has pair of brass prongs on the reverse holding seven ink blotter cardboard sheets. Item is from the same series as item #509 but on this one the salesman's hand-inscribed name is "John B Firestone." Celluloid cover has 1/16" faint brown dot along bottom edge and the oval celluloid has just a .25" hairline scratch on the woman's hair, a 1/8" circle on the left side by her eye and a small streak down the right side of her hair where the glossy finish isn't present. All three marks just catch reflected light but o/w don't show at all with normal viewing. Overall VF. This, along with previous item, are the only two examples we've seen. From the Hake collection.
