Item Description
5.5x8.5" glossy ceramic tile in slightly raised relief. Likely c. 1919. A few normal craze lines on glaze surface visible in certain light angles but hardly detracting from the wonderful portrait in many subtle shades of gray with lovely rainbow-color spectrum in reflected light. Bottom right corner has apparent copyright symbol. Framed in 8.5x11.5" old, possibly original gold frame with very old paper sealing the reverse. Striking image of the best glazed ceramic quality. VF.
