Item Description
2.25x2.75x4.5" tall. c. mid to late 1930s. Hinged door has printed "Occupied" sign plus printed text "The Lost W.P.A. Worker/Warning To Hunters/Don't Shoot Until It Moves/It Might Be A W.P.A. Worker." Interior wood panel shows illustration of skeleton seated with accents at right of toilet paper on a roll, a crescent moon simulated ventilation cut-out and at upper right, a spider web. We've seen 2 other versions, one much like this but without varnish finish on the wood and another featuring skeleton composed of pipe cleaners with a nut torso and wood bead head. Essentially Mint as made.
