Item Description
14.5" tall composition doll with sleep eyes. Released in 1936 by Madame Alexander, the only licensed producer of Dionne Quintuplet dolls. Curly molded hair, back and head have raised "Alexander" text. .5" dia. "Marie" metal name tag/pin on cloth dress. Matching cloth bonnet, socks and original leatherette shoes. Sleep eyes work. Usual craze lines to face as is typical with dolls of this nature. .25" and 1" more noticeable cracks under nose and on chin. Fine. Light aging to outfit. VF. Shoes show some light wear and are Fine-. Comes with incomplete box which has end panel with 4x5.25" color paper label that reads "The Dionne Quintuplet Dolls Are The Only Quintuplet Dolls" and shows each with names - Marie, Cecile, Emilie, Yvonne and Annette. This label shows heavy insect surface paper damage and is VG. Box is a little over half complete and just comes along.
