Item Description
Group of six buttons with ribbons issued for an annual dinner sponsored by "The Boston Herald Quarter Century Club." Each button depicts their logo of newsboy running with newspapers. Each button has 3" ribbon with celluloid name card holder below. Each button design is identical although they are in three different colors. The pieces run from 1953 through 1959, although missing 1956. Each was for a dinner beginning with the 3rd and going through the 9th but again missing the 6th. Three of the events were at Boston's Parker House and the other 3 were at the Statler Hotel. Noticeable stain on the buttons for the 3rd, 7th and 8th dinners while the other three for the 4th, 5th and 9th are extremely clean except for a small age dot on the far edge of the 4th dinner. An interesting group from the Marshall Levin collection. Condition ranges from Very Good to Exc. Also see press badge #579.
