Item Description
8.5x12" two-sided stiff paper flag attached to 19" long wood stick. 1930s, likely used for promotion at a book store. Bears the name of Walt Disney plus publisher "Bollmann" from Zurich, Switzerland. One side depicts Mickey holding magazine and running towards a shocked Pluto. Mickey has word balloon w/his name and additional word that translates to "Magazines." Opposite side depicts Mickey and Minnie holding open the Mickey pop-up book (see items #1776-1777) from which 2 Mickeys are shown falling out of it and running toward Minnie. Also shown falling off a table is publication w/text that translates as "Mickey Mouse Weekly Paper." Moderate aging along top margin w/pair of .25" tears. VF. Neat promotional piece, only the second we've seen in our 41 years. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
