Item Description
Large format 10x13" by Simon & Schuster © 1940. 160 pages w/beautiful color illustrations throughout, a number of which are tipped in plates. This copy is from the personal library of Ralph Kent (see book lot #1763) and includes a loose bookplate w/his stamped seal. DJ has notable edge wear, mostly in the form of small tears and creases, a few tape repairs to reverse. Lower right has area of moisture staining but this blends w/cover design. VG. Book's cloth-bound cover has 2x5" moisture stain at lower right. First blank page has inked inscription (not pertaining to Ralph Kent). Contents are very lightly aged but remain totally clean and Exc. Cover is Fine. Classic book and scarce w/DJ.
