Box w/illustrated paper label contains three-piece set made in Japan and distributed by Borgfeldt. 1930s. Box bottom has one corner split. Lid has small .25" piece missing from one corner, split across top edge. Box remains Fine for display, label is clean and Exc. Bisques are S33 Mickey w/hat and cane, S34 Minnie w/umbrella and purse, seated Pluto. Mickey and Minnie are each 4" tall (as opposed to smaller 3.75" size variety) and Pluto is 2.75" tall (as opposed to smaller 2.25" variety). Both Mickey and Minnie have copyright label under feet. Pluto has .5" stress line on back right side of head as produced o/w each has only tiniest trace of wear, all remain choice N. Mint examples. Scarce as boxed. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
