Item Description
2.5x6.5x4.5" tall overall w/pair of 3" tall celluloid figures attached to the tin see-saw platform base. Japan, 1930s. Operates by means of pendulum and windup rubber band mechanism. Toy works well and rocks back and forth. Pinpoint scattered paint nicks to tin parts plus trace of bare metal to top of platform where post is attached. Minnie is firmly attached as produced whereas Mickey is a bit loose w/celluloid having some small cracks where attached but only visible when viewed closely at a certain angle. Does not affect operation or appearance for display in any way. Fine. Scarce. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
