Item Description
Tin litho toy with built-in key consists of dancing figure and building base. Total height of 10.5". ©1921. Base of toy features great images on all sides of black adults and children playing instruments and singing and dancing, etc. Toy works. Has original metal post that attaches figure to the base. Figure has moderate scattered wear with paint nicks and rubs mostly evident where arms and legs move back and forth against each other. In back of Jazzbo's coat there is an area of black lithography about 1x.5" where two halves of coat come together. This is as produced. Figure still displays Fine. Roof and 3 sides of base have wear in the form of a few paint nicks. However, one side of cabin and bottom that has the unique art clown logo and text has obvious paint flaking with about 80% remaining. Still would display Fine except for the flaking which would not show when toy is positioned on shelf.
