Item numbers 1 through 1290 in auction 183
Item Description
Lot of three translucent celluloid sheets each hand-painted and each having some version of the hand-inscribed text "1893 World's Fair Souvenir." The 4" piece designed as an artist pallet with outdoor scene includes a pink ribbon accent and along one edge a lightly penciled name "Hazel." The larger 2.75x4" rectangular sheet has daisy flowers and rwb shield and includes the name "Lyle." The smaller rectangular sheet 1.75x4" includes the name "Oliver." Edges of the two rectangular pieces are slightest bit uneven but this is almost certainly as originally cut. Condition of all 3 is Exc. First we've seen of this type of 1893 souvenir.
