Item Description
6.25" tall tin litho with built-in key. 1920s. Toy depicts black man pushing boardwalk chair with text on roof including "Rolo-Chair/Riding On The Boardwalk/Atlantic City." We previously had this toy with no Atlantic City markings and a 1921 patent date. This has "U.S. Patent Applied For." It appears this is an earlier or first version. Toy is working. Cart has little wear on most surfaces, however one side has some paint degradation in the form of lt. blistering, not offensive. Figure itself has scattered paint nicks mostly centered on top of his cap and here and there on jacket and arms. Toy still displays Fine.
