Auction #196 - Part II
Item numbers 976 though 2670 in auction 196
Item Description
8" long tin litho with hard plastic driver and built-in key. 1950s. Realistic depiction of actual street sweeper by equipment manufacturing company "Elgin." Toy has realisic lithography with dashboard control switch panel and side sweeper with hydraulic arms, etc. Toy appears to have both original brushes. Both the black bristles on the side and large brown bristles underneath operate by means of a dual wheel and cable system. Toy also has movable large back wheel to determine direction it is going in. Toy has some overall lt. crazing of the paint and small area of missing paint around the area of the "S" in the street sweeper name on front. Toy works and both brushes revolve as toy moves in direction of the way the wheel is turned. Fine.
