Auction #183 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1290 in auction 183
Item Description
This 1.75" button is the largest we've seen from the celebration and it includes gorgeous color images of both Hudson and Fulton along with both of their sailing ships. The bonus is a seated lady between their portraits. She is wearing a pink gown, is positioned against a yellow sunburst and is holding a large horn. Text along bottom edge specifies the event dates in 1909. All is beautifully surrounded by a gold rim. Trivial surface wear is largely visible only with magnification. Piece has perfect centering, wonderful color and high gloss. Complete with Bastian paper.
