Item Description
This pair is from the Hake Collection. First is a somewhat gruesome but beautifully-designed button featuring steer above with butchering tools below. Rim reads "Retail Butcherers And Meat Packers Protective Ass'n. Of Allegheny County, PA." Includes ribbons for "Committee/Rock Springs Park July 27, 1910." Tiny trace of stain on extreme upper edge. Backpaper by "M.E. Cunningham Co." of Pittsburgh has ripple but is intact. Just a trace of brightness off the gold lettering of the ribbons. Second is choice color 1.25" with company initials at top. Below ribbons read "Compliments Of The Season/The Cleveland Provision Co." Has Bastian paper c. 1915. N. Mint and displays Mint. Comes with Hake's COA. A rare pair.
