Auction #196 - Part I
Item numbers 1 though 975 in auction 196
Item Description
11.5" overall, 5" long handle. WWII private contract. Little is known of the Everitt company. Black handle version w/original sheath. Also came as a green handled version. Marines liked this as a fighting knife. Blade has some pitting, mostly original patina and appears unsharpened w/gun metal finish. Shows about 35% paint wear as would be expected for a knife that has worked its way through WWII. Knife saw action in the Pacific. Was acquired from WWII veteran's estate. Original black sheath shows some shrinkage, a little stiff but remains supple. Good. Knife is VG/Fine.
