Item Description
12.25x12.25" frame contains 12x12" cloth hanky showing scene from theatrical pantomime production starring Tony Denier as Humpty Dumpty the Clown. c. 1868 as text reads "Coming Soon! Compliments Of The Children's Friend, Tony Denier." Production ran 1868-1873. Scene shows clown chasing pig into furnace w/clown in chimney throwing brick and policeman grabbing woman as clown rides donkey standing up in bkg. Frayed edges, not affecting images. Scattered age spots w/three 1/8" snags to fabric. Fine.
