Item Description
Two-piece lamp by Acme Lanterns Inc. of Brooklyn, N.Y. ©Kagran. c. 1950s. Generic wall unit is 4.5" dia. by 1" deep painted metal with attached pair of bulb holders and electric cord. Reverse has hanger hole. Thick, parchment-like material shade is held to wire frame by gimp which is along all side edges. Great images include Howdy with lassos, Mr. Bluster selling tickets, Dilly-Dally carrying buckets of water and Clarabell squirting Flub-A-Dub with seltzer bottle. Each corner area has balloon design. All red color faded just a slight bit but all images remain distinct and other color is strong. Right and left sides each have .5" to 1" dark stain spot caused by light bulbs but these blend somewhat with balloon designs. Right side is missing 2" piece of gimp from 2 of the die-cut holes but rest remains firmly intact. Still displays Fine. Wall unit itself is working and Exc. Scarce.
