Item Description
1.25" with cartoon of hands squashing a Japanese military man in a press with caption "Put The Squeeze On The Japanese." Made by Phila. Badge with their name on the curl. The RCA name does not appear but with the button comes a photocopy of a card which includes images of 3 different buttons issued by RCA as part of their "Beat The Promise Campaign." Text says this campaign will "Be Inaugurated In All Our Plants And Offices Sept. 2nd." Text concludes "We are determined not only to meet the promises we have made to Uncle Sam on deliveries, but wherever possible "Beat The Promise!" Button has tiny hairline scratches under magnification but is Exc. and displays Mint. See rare and outstanding RCA anti-axis mechanical paper item #969.
