Item Description
Large and impressive 4x12x11" tall beautifully painted and glazed ceramic. Has mark on underside for this Italian company along w/series number "W67." This company signed a contract w/Disney in 1947 which lasted for about 10 years. Great detailing and design. A similar figurine was produced by Brayton and as nice as that figurine is, this figurine is even more impressive. Has red over-the-glaze paint on Toreador's shirt and plume plus accents on pants and stirrups. Red paint has scattered flakes but overall remains about 80% complete. There are several small defects noted for complete accuracy, all of which are only noticeable upon close inspection and do not affect appearance for display. Small repair to top of one of the reins Toreador holds, glaze flake under one of his fingers, tiny glaze flake on tip of one ear of horse. Some minor craze lines visible only when viewed closely. Overall appearance remains totally bright w/high gloss finish and striking design. VF. This company made some of the nicest Disney figurines, all are rare and this is only the second time we've offered this particular figurine. The previous example in better condition sold for $4000.
