Auction #196 - Part II
Item numbers 976 though 2670 in auction 196
Item Description
Scarce pair of medium size bisques, 4.5" tall. Japan, mid-1930s. Each is marked w/incised number "S1278." One is in traditional darker blue outfit and has small scattered paint rubs but remains clean. The other has noticeably lighter blue outfit as factory painted, not faded, evidently a different blue paint was used at the factory on that particular day. Small paint rubs and trace of dust soiling. Both remain VF. Interesting color variety. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
