5.25" long. Right side of barrel reads "Pat. Dec. 17 1878/Mar. 22/July 31 87." Left side has bold "Lion" text. Wonderful design of cap firing in lion's mouth. Works. Made by famous toy maker Ives. Trace of original finish remains. Fine.
