Item Description
This 1.25" button by Parisian Novelty features photo of Brace Beemer in The Lone Ranger role standing next to Silver posed as if talking to him. This photo is one of a group of eight shown in Lee Felbinger's The Lone Ranger Pictorial Scrapbook. The photos were taken for publicity purposes and the creation of premiums. Each photo was numbered. Photo "2" of the 8 became an exhibit card and a 7/8" button. The 7/8" button has the same text as this 1.25" button ("Hi-Yo, Silver!"/"The Lone Ranger") but shows Beemer riding Silver and holding a riding crop over his head. On this first ever 1.25" a cropped detail of photo "7" was used. The 8 photos were likely taken between April and May 1933 while Beemer played the role on radio. Hake book Collectible Pin-Back Buttons photo example Cowboys Section #424. Comes with Hake's COA. Trivial luster off the metal reverse but the cello is Exc. and displays Mint. The only example known to us.
